It’s a very stimulating atmosphere and I think it was a good opportunity to have a college like experience while still in high school. Am I good at accepting criticism? It is a unique environment where you are surrounded by kids who are vastly different and uncannily similar, and you will most likely make very deep, wonderful connections if you allow yourself to be open. Zay typically asks for 4 to 5 page scenes to read in class, and his assignments were always a blast. Of course theres breakfast,lunch and dinner breaks. The most connected, tighest, multi-talented, relaxed, and interesting people I’ve met included a lot of creative writers. Admission to the Getty Center was free, so we just had to pay a small fee for transportation. Core Class Core is a foundational writing workshop that meets four mornings each week.
They can only participate in one of the majors listed above. WIthin the visual arts writinb can major in photography, painting, sculpture, ceramics, computers arts and printmaking. The tuition is modest and they offer a lot of full scholarships based on income so I think it is also a more diverse group than you might find at summer programs elsewhere.
Every week during Writer’s Desk students will have the opportunity to drop in for office hours with the Creative Writing faculty. I asked her if it was a life-changing experience, and she said yes to that. I teach in the visual arts. Students are housed in the dorms. For my year, the spaces for the Disneyland trip filled up really quickly and I barely got one I signed up at around creatlve I noticed on the website it mentioned Super 8 Film and 16 mm cameraless. I loved the writing program- CSSSA is the first place where I realized that I was a writer, that it was my calling, and that it was a life that I wanted to pursue for myself.
What makes you want to write? What kind of things should I already know before going into it, or will completely different things be taught that no one would have known in the first place? The reflection should be about a brief incident, no more than an hour, and should happen in one place. Just remember that the first 3 days are the hardest, after that you’ll have the time of your life.
What about everyone else? Did you get a chance to sleep well after a day’s end? I feel pretty capable of writing a screenplay now, though I haven’t because I like plays better. I’m not sure of the exact amount.

If you don’t, it’s ok, I was just wondering. They over-sentimentalize everything from day-one. I was lucky in the fact that I was 16, totally clueless regarding partying, and interested in what I was doing. I’ve taught there for the last seven years.

They accept around 70 students in the creative writing program, 70 in dance, 70 in music, 70 in fine arts, 70 in acting, and 70 in animation. I seems I didn’t writinb it the whole way!
This can be a time to go over student work, discuss future projects, and find strategies to deal with the CSSSA wriying. I’m glad that this community exists.
